چکیده
Abstract Claddings are used to protect areas of components that exposed particular chemical, physical or tribological stresses. The aim when developing a cladding process is achieve with low waviness in order reduce the amount machining required. Computational models and FEA simulations can be determine parameters for claddings rework including prediction height width single weld seam aswell as development welding strategies. In this paper empirical describing geometry seams on substrate manufactured coaxial laser hot-wire investigated three steel wire materials different parameters. coordinates surface points were detected using scanning microscope post-processed by self-created script. describe cross sectional shape seams, parabolic, cosinusiodal circular arc model functions derived from data fitting algorithm. For tested materials, an effect material was not observed. investigations also show regardless varied parameter set material, function appears most suitable metal deposition hot-wire. regression residua ranged 18.9 $$\upmu$$ μ m 34.6 m, which indicates good approximation.

Seam gap bridging of laser based processes for the welding of aluminium sheets for industrial applications
Laser welding has a large potential for the production of tailor welded blanks in the automotive industry, due to the low heat input and deep penetration. However, due to the small laser spot and melt pool, laser-based welding processes in general have a low tolerance for seam gaps. In this paper, five laserbased welding techniques are compared for their gap bridging capabilities: single-spot l...
متن کاملSeam Tracking for Laser Welding with an Industrial Robot
Because of their construction and flexibility, industrial robots are suitable to be used, with a laser source and an optical fiber, for laser welding of 3D products. However, the positioning accuracy of robots are insufficient for laser welding. Also the product and clamping tolerances are too wide for laser welding. These problems can be solved by applying sensors, which measure the location o...

Process monitoring is important for the laser welding system, especially for the weld seam deviation monitoring. A 10kW high power fiber laser butt joint welding of type 304 stainless steel was performed. By combing two different band pass filters, high speed photography was employed to capture the near-infrared images of molten pools. Image difference algorithm was used to obtain the weld seam...
